Alarming statistics

By 2025, our seas will be filled with 1 tonne of plastic for every 3 tonnes of fish. Approximately 8 million tonnes of discarded plastic products move along rivers, beaches and oceans each year. It is estimated that there will be a ratio of one tonne of plastic for every three tonnes of fish at sea within ten years. Most of these plastic items are broken into smaller pieces in the ocean, where animals from small shrimp to whales can easily confuse it with food!
